Position Description

Purpose:  The purpose of this position is to lead the SPLASH! Children’s Ministry at Lake Baldwin Church in light of the church’s vision and values.

Ministry Context:  Lake Baldwin Church is a young and growing church of 200 near the heart of Orlando.  The church draws from Baldwin Park as well as the surrounding communities of Winter Park, Maitland, Orlando, and College Park.  Baldwin Park is a new, planned community with many new residents and young families.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and communicate a forward-thinking plan.
  2. Recruit and train a growing number of quality teachers and other volunteers.
  3. Create and maintain systems that provide a safe, clean, environment.
  4. Maintain consistent communication with parents and volunteers.
  5. Select or create curriculum that is kid-friendly and gospel-centered.
  6. Create magnetic environments that allow for both small group interaction and large group worship.
  7. Create events and environments that engage the community.
  8. Learn from other successful children’s ministries.

Compensation:  This is a part-time position (20-25 hours) with salary that is comparable to similar positions in other churches.
