We believe that the church should be a blessing to the community in which God has placed it. Therefore, we make it a priority to serve the city of Orlando and to bring the Good News of God's Kingdom to the broken parts of our city. We do this primarily through our Missional Communities.

Each of our Missional Communities identifies an area where their passions and interests overlap with the needs of their community and seek to engage in that area. Some groups may work with the poor or homeless, others may seek ways to serve and improve their local schools. Join us on this journey of missional engagement in our city by joining a Missional Community.

There are a variety of local ministries and organizations that do a tremendous job of extending Christ's love to those in need throughout central Florida.  Some of these organizations that members of Lake Baldwin Church have opportunities to partner with are:

Restore Orlando (www.restoreorlando.com).   A faith-based community center that serves the community through academic programs and compassionate ministries.

NiceSERVE (www.summitconnect.org/pages/niceserve).  Through a partnership with Summit Church, you can participate in service projects throughout the greater central Florida community on designated Saturdays.

Hands on Orlando (www.handsonorlando.com).  Hands-on volunteer projects across Orlando that you or your group can join by signing up online. 

Polis Institute (www.polisinstitute.org).  An organization committed to improving the well-being of the city of Orlando. Polis provides coaching, training, curriculum and volunteer opportunities for reaching out to those in need.

House of Hope (www.houseofhopeorlando.org). A residential home that seeks to care for and counsel troubled teens in Orlando.

Central Florida Commission on Homelessness (www.cfhomelesscommission.org). Helping to provide housing, support systems, healthcare and practical assistance in preventing systematic homelessness in central Florida.

Frontline Outreach (www.frontlineoutreach.org).  Helping to tutor and mentor at-risk children in urban Orlando.

A Center for Women (www.acenterforwomen.org). A crisis pregnancy center located in Winter Park.

Health Care Center for the Homeless (www.hcch.org). Helping to provide quality healthcare services that improve the lives of central Florida's homeless population.

Here's Life Inner City  (www.hlicorlando.org). The compassionate and urban ministry of Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ) that serves and mobilizes the local Church to live out God's heart for the poor.

Orlando VA Medical Center (www.orlando.va.gov). Helping to provide healthcare services to central Florida's veterans.
