Dear Church Family,

I hope this email finds everyone doing well!  With a new School year starting we have been taking a “fresh” look at things in SPLASH! As a result, we have some really exciting changes happening in our SPLASH! Zone.  As most of you know it has been a big desire of mine to have our kids included in our “worship” portion of our Worship Service.  With the cancelation of our Spiritual Growth Classes (9:30 hour) we have an awesome opportunity to begin our Worship Service as a whole church body! Logistically speaking, it now seems to make for a very easy transition for the kids.  Starting next Sunday 9/12 we will ALL  begin our Worship Service together.  After the first part of our Worship Service the kids and small group leaders will be dismissed to SPLASH!  To accommodate kids of all ages, we still have childcare provided during the whole Worship Service for babies and toddlers however, please know that we would also LOVE for them to be in the service. 

Another big change is that we have added a small group in SPLASH!  We now have a 4^th-6^th grade small group.  In years past, once a child is in 6^th grade they were no longer in SPLASH! We have thought and prayed hard about this transition from 5^th to 6^th grade and feel like it is a more natural progression that once kids are in 6^th grade they are included in Student Ministries and all that it entails but are also offered a small group during the SPLASH! hour on Sunday mornings.  I am so excited about where SPLASH! is headed this fall.  We have grown significantly in SPLASH! since the start of the summer.  With that there is also a need for MANY nursery volunteers and a couple of small group leaders.  Please prayerfully consider helping in either or both of these areas.  The single biggest impact you can have as an adult Christian is to pour into the lives of children and lead them in their relationship with Christ.  There is no greater gift than to watch a child be transformed by our King!!!   

Please take note…

*We will have a SPLASH! check-in table set up in the same location as our Worship Service.  Check-in for  ALL AGES will have to be done here.  For the safety of your child we ask that you not forget or skip this step.  We have to have a check in tab for EACH child that will be coming to SPLASH! Check-in starts at 10:30, please check in between 10:30 and 10:40 as the service starts at 10:45. 

*You will check-out your child in the SPLASH! Zone after the service.

*It is our belief that having children in the Worship Service for the singing portion will only add to the experience.  It will enrich the Sunday morning experience for adults as well as kids…so, let’s feel the freedom to allow our kids to be kids J please don’t feel added pressure about having your child be still or silent.  It is my hope that our children will feel the freedom to dance and sing at the top of their lungs while worshiping our Mighty God!
