Lake Baldwin Church

What an amazing day!  It was first full day of camp.  Both our high schoolers and middle schoolers participated in water day for rec.  It was all out pandemonium... but rest assured LBC claimed victory!  Our speaker, Wes Hamilton, really challenged our youth to respond to the gospel.  He taught from Luke 18:9-14, dealing with the Pharisee who relied on his works for righteousness and the tax collector who relied on God's mercy in the midst of his sin.  We can find ourselves in either of these two extremes as sinners, but the answer or the solution is the same; it is Jesus.  

In our church group time, we gave time for our students to share how God has been working in their lives so far at camp.  It was a great time of honesty, vulnerability, and encouragement!  We are all so excited about these next few days.
